This was actually an experiment I did.
I wanted to find out how to make text look nice without all the
plugins and stuff, I kinda like it if i may say so :0P
Anyway lets get started.

All you will need for this tut is psp 7

And the following images... right click and chose "save target as" to download as .bmp



To get these to work save them in a folder named patterns.
Then go to file/ preferences/ file locations.
Click pattern then you browse till you find the folder you put
the images in and click ok.

Open up an image 400*200.
Use the text tool with these settings...



No colour n a simple font makes the effects show well.
It works just as well on other fonts though.

Now you go effects/ 3d effects/ inner bevel. Use the following settings...



Make sure you have your text selected with the moving ants around it.
Click effects/ texture effects/ sculpture Use the following settings.



Where it says pattern you browse till you find the pattern you added.
I chose the blue one. click ok. While your image is still selected go to
effects/ 3d effects/ drop shadow use a shadow setting you like.
Save as .jpg and you are done. :D
Addind effects like this is easy and you can get loads of
different looks. All you have to do is make a pattern you like. :0)
