Ok this is for all of you that is just getting started with psp 7.
A written requested tutorial by Nemesis.


For this tutorial you will need Psp 7.
First we have to open a new image. This you do by going
to file at your upper left corner. When clicking file you will
get a drop down menu, click new.
A box with different settings will pop up.
Change them so that you have these settings.



Then click ok.
Now you got a new image that we can work with.
So now lets add some text.
Click the text tool .
When you have clicked the icon you got that tool selected.
Now click on the middle of you canvas.
Now a box called text entry pops up.
Set the settings like this...



To change colour of the text you click the red (at the arrows).
This box will pop up...



Here you just click any colour you want and then press ok.
Now when we got the colour we want then pick a font.
This you do in the drop menu that says name.
Then set the size and make sure you got floating and antialias ticked.
Now that you got all settings set, type in what you want your image to say.
For example a name.
When done click ok.

Now your text will apeare on the new image looking something like this...



The dots is what we would call "Marching ants" which means it's selected.
Now we want our text too look less plain so now go to effects then click
3d effects and finally inner bevel. Like this...



Now this box will pop up, set the settings like this...



Why not play around with it to see what different effects you get.

Now when done click ok. Now lets add some drop shadow.
Go the same way as before effects/ 3d effects and then instead
of inner bevel you click drop shadow.
You will get this box...



Now play around a bit with these settings too. Playing
is the best way to learn *smile*.
When done click ok.

So now we got something like this...



Now we don't need the image to be selected any longer so make sure you
you have the box higlighted as your current image. (click on it once to
make sure) then press ctrl + d
this will make the marching ants go away.

Only we got lots of empty space that we don't need.
To get rid of that click the crop tool

Use this to draw a square around your name. Just click and drag.
something like this...



Then go to Image/ crop.



And voila you got a smaller image.
Now we're actually done so all we have to do is save.
Go to file / save as and .Jpg like this...



Wooo hoooo you're done !!
