For this tutorial you will need:
Psp 7

The following font...
campaign font
You will have to know how to make your own gradients.
You can learn how to do that here.

So what we start with is making a gradient that looks similar to one of these.








This is depending on what effect you want to have night or sunset or something like that.
Now that the gradient is done open up a new image 400*400 pixels with a transparent background.
Flood fill it with the gradient you just made.
Now hide the gradient layer like this ...



Now we are going to build the city *smile*
So what we start with is selecting the preset shapes tool.
Use the following settings ...



Now start making blocks like houses. The size is up to you and
remember you can always resize later.
When done with the blocks go to layers / convert to raster layer.

We are now going to make windows on our houses, change both style colours to yellow.
and make small a small window box on your black one.
Only make one ! Now go to layers / convert to raster layer.
then duplicate this layer to as many windows as you want.
Select the mover tool and move the windows to their place.
This means you will end up with loads of layers in the end.
So when done with the windows (with the gradient still hidden) go to
layers/ merge / merge visible and now you'll only have two layers again.
It should now look something like this...




Now hide the house layer and make the gradient layer visible.
Highlight the gradient layer, Select the selection tool and select an area like this ...




Then go to effects / illumination effects/ sunburst.
Use the following settings ...



Click ok and deselct (ctrl+d). Now make the houses visible again.
Add a new layer and select the text tool. I used these settings...



Use the mover tool and move the text to where you want it.
Now go to effects/ 3d effects/ drop shadow and add a drop shadow with these settings:

Offset: vertical = 1 horisontal = 1
Attributes: opacity = 84 blur= 6 and colour yellow

When you are happy with the picture you go to layers/ merge/ merge visible.
Then select the selection tool and set the selection type to ellipse,
tick antialias and set feather to 18.
Draw an ellipse around the picture make sure you get all the text in it.
Go to Image / crop to selection, watermark your image and save as .Jpg and you are done :o)
